Holo Kai

165′ Power Boat
Holo Kai is a 165′ power boat with a charming Cinderella story. She was built in the late 70s down in the Carolinas to be an oil rig supply boat.  Some twenty years later, she was shipped to Europe and began her transformation to become “the ultimate fishing yacht”.

Holo Kai also serves a higher calling. Her philanthropic owner donates significant research time on his ship to Texas A&M University through the Galveston based Oceanic Conservation Organization (OCO). Together they carry out aquatic preservation programs such as reintroducing nursed sharks into the Gulf of Mexico and tagging marlin.

She is designed to go anywhere in the world but spends the majority of her time in the Caribbean. Among her many amenities is a main salon that can comfortably seat about 20 people and a 41′ sport fisherman that can be launched in about 20 minutes!  Some of the other “toys” include several smaller motor boats, jet skis and enough fishing gear to outfit a store!

Scott’s team has worked on the following systems:

  • New chilled water air-conditioning
  • Installing new water maker
  • New domestic water system
  • All new plumbing
  • New refrigeration
  • Refitted engine and generator
  • New design and install of electrical systems
  • Full set of electical system CAD drawings
“The customer was completely satisfied with Scott’s team and that made my company and me look good.”
